Ella Fitzgerald would have been 100-years-old this year. Tonight’s concert, featuring US vocalist Deborah Brown, celebrates the artistry of the Queen of Jazz.
This evening’s concert promises to be an intriguing musical experience provided by American jazz vocalist Deborah Brown, a quartet including award-winning saxophonist Sylwester Ostrowski, and one of Europe’s leading chamber orchestras, NFM Leopoldinum Strings, featuring 20 string musicians.
Deborah Brown is an international artist who has released 16 albums and performed in over 50 countries. She has appeared with a host of star names in jazz such as Clark Terry, Horace Parlan, Red Mitchell, Ed Thigpen, Benny Bailey, “Toots” Thielemans, Kenny Drew and Lee Konitz. Her collaboration with Polish saxophonist, Sylwester Ostrowski, resulted in the album Kansas City Here I Come, released in 2016.
