The second concert of the day at Charlottenlund is a captivating meeting on the beautiful terrace stage between the Big Blowin´ Band, which plays traditional big band jazz in the spirit of Count Basie and Woody Herman, and Karin Tingne, a vocalist whose singing style is rooted in soul, gospel and blues.

Karin Tingne is well known for her sparkling performances with her 10-piece group, the Karin Tingne Band. The band’s latest album is “Over You” (2024).

Based in Ystad, the Big Blowin´ Band, with a history stretching back over 40 years, has collaborated with many of the big names in Swedish jazz.

The Big Blowin’ Band and Karen Tingne last performed together at Ystads Teater in
2023 and the collaboration continues with a set list for Charlottenlund that includes several new arrangements specially written for Karin Tingne.
