The world-renowned bassist Dave Holland is Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival’s Guest of Honour for 2025.

In a career spanning over 50 years, bassist, composer and bandleader Dave Holland has released over 30 albums under his own name and played on hundreds of others. He was a member of the Miles Davis semi-electric band and contributed to albums such as “In a Silent Way” (1969) and “Bitches Brew” (1970).

KISMET is a brand-new quartet formed by Dave Holland and saxophonist Chris Potter. This new jazz supergroup also includes leading US musicians Kevin Eubanks on guitar and Marcus Gilmore on drums. The four musicians have joined forces in an all-star constellation that delivers jazz permeated by bold improvisation, expressive sound and dynamic interplay.
