Three Scandinavian masters of lyrical chamber jazz meet to play an intimate concert in a secluded garden venue in the heart of Ystad – Lilla Östergatan 3.

Trumpeter Thomas Fryland has been a major figure on the Danish jazz scene for over 30 years. Jacob Fischer is an internationally known guitarist who has played on over 200 albums. Hans Backenroth has been one of Scandinavia’s most prominent bassists since the mid-1990s.

Thomas Fryland and Jacob Fisher played for many years with Danish bassist Jesper Lundgaard. One of the trio’s most well-known albums was the award-winning “Playing in the Breeze” (1995). This evening’s concert will feature several tracks from that album along with standards, original compositions and music from Sweden and Brazil.
