Over the years, the festival has presented music at many atmospheric and unusual venues in and around the town, and this year there is something new and special – an intimate morning concert at a secluded garden in the heart of Ystad.

Trio Circle was formed five years ago and released its self-titled debut album “Trio Circle” in 2022.

Hans Backenroth has been one of Scandinavia’s most prominent bassists since the mid-1990s. American jazz pianist Junior Mance said: “Hans is one of the best bassists I’ve played with throughout my career.”

Tenor sax player Magnus Dölerud has been an established name on the jazz scene for over 15 years. He is currently a member of the Elaria Orchestra.

Drummer Oscar Johansson Werre studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and plays in a number of bands including the Mainland Jazz Collective.
