Saturday at Charlottenlund opens with a soul spectacular featuring one of Sweden’s most dynamic live performers, vocalist LaGaylia Frazier, who says: “This will be a concert with some my favourite soul/funk music infused with the freedom and improvisation of jazz. Most songs will be retro but we may throw some modern ones in there as well. There will be music by artists such as Chaka Khan, Prince, the Isley Brothers and Marvin Gaye!” 

LaGaylia Frazier made her musical breakthrough in Sweden in 2000 as a singer in Robert Wells’ Rhapsody in Rock tour. A year later she decided to move from the USA to Sweden and has been based in Stockholm ever since. In recent years, she has toured with a show devoted to the songs of one of her biggest influences, Tina Turner.
