American singer Veronica Swift has rapidly become one of the most acclaimed voices in jazz. The Wall Street Journal wrote “She has a miraculous voice, musical ability and technique, as well as an innate gift for entertaining a crowd,” while Downbeat enthused about her versatile range: “Veronica Swift is a woman of many voices, and she uses every one of them to refract a dizzying kaleidoscope of moods.”

On her latest album, the self-titled “Veronica Swift” (2023), which she describes as “transgenre”, she interprets songs drawn from opera, classical music, bossa nova, blues, funk and musicals.
Veronica Swift is accompanied at Charlottenlund by the superb DR Big Band, performing for the second time at this year’s festival.
