What better way to kick-start the second day of the festival than with some early morning soulful and uplifting jazz from the Fredrik Kronkvist Quartet in the beautiful garden setting of Lilla Östergatan 3?

The Fredrik Kronkvist Quartet, which will be playing music from their new album “Worlds Unseen”, is known for its dynamic interplay, hard-swinging rhythms and soaring improvisations. The band’s music builds on conventional jazz, combining inspiration from Afro-Cuban grooves, Latin American rhythms and soulful gospel melodies.

Considered one of Europe’s finest alto saxophonists, Fredrik Kronkvist is an award-winning musician who has released 25 albums as a leader with international musicians such as Gregory Hutchinson, Jason Marsalis, Aaron Goldberg and Adam Nussbaum. His album releases in 2025 included “Fonk”, “Out of the Blue” and “Wired in South Africa.”
