Saxophonist and composer Helge Albin has customised compositions especially for this impressive constellation of leading Swedish jazz musicians.

Helge Albin, a legend in Swedish jazz, spent 40 years as the leader of the Malmö-based Tolvan Big Band, an 18-piece ensemble that showcased his songwriting and collaborated with jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, David Liebman and Michael Brecker.

In 2023, he formed a new quintet of handpicked musicians that he had collaborated with on various projects over the years and wrote all the songs for their first album “Homemade” (2024), which Lira described as “An album of strong melodies and brilliant dialogue-based solo elements that add to the razor-sharp quintet performance.”
