In her native France, vocalist Camille Bertault is a well-established talent and international recognition is growing. Vanity Fair described her as “The new voice of jazz”, while Downbeat defined her as “More than merely a sly vocal gymnast; she’s a fine composer and a singer who carefully coaxes the emotional impact out of a melody.”
Camille Bertault is a classically trained singer with a three-octave range who won a prestigious Victoires du Jazz award for best French vocalist in 2023. Her breadth as as a chanteuse, vocal innovator, composer and virtuoso scat improviser are showcased across six albums from “En vie” (2016) to her latest release “Voz e Vocês” (2025) – releases that reflect her influences from jazz, folk, funk and Brazilian music.
