Marilyn Mazur brings phenomenal percussion experience to YSJF 2023

We are pleased to announce that the innovative Danish percussionist Marilyn Mazur will be bringing her eight-piece world-jazz orchestra Shamania, with a line-up of leading female Scandinavian musicians, to YSJF 2023.
The dynamic and hypnotic rhythms, played on an array of percussion instruments from around globe, can be heard on the albums “Shamania” (2019) and “Rerooting” (2022). Marilyn Mazur collaborated with Miles Davis in the 1980s and has had notable projects with Wayne Shorter, Gil Evans and Jan Garbarek.
