Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson has been a prominent figure in the world of jazz for over five decades. JazzTimes described him as “the greatest living jazz pianist born outside the United States.”

Bobo Stenson became established on the Stockholm jazz scene in the 1960s. He collaborated with Jan Garbarek in the 1970s and during the 1990s recorded albums with artists such as Charles Lloyd and Tomasz Stańko.

The current Bobo Stenson Trio, with members Anders Jormin on bass and Jon Fält on drums, has been together since 2008. The trio has recorded several albums including their most recent release, “Sphere” (2023), which Jazzwise summed up as “a powerful introspective album that draws us into a world of intense mutual concentration, with many moments of astonishing lyrical beauty.”
