We are very proud and honoured to present 2026 year’s Jazz Artist, Frank Björklund, who actually lives in Ystad! Frank Björklund is Sweden’s Dali/Duchamp/Magritte!
His surrealism can be described as “Frankism”.
“I give my paintings titles in the form of puns, maxims and aphorisms. The titles are clues and entry points to the paintings, taking you into the inner landscape. A ticket for a journey filled with various references and imagination – a journey that hopefully never ends. Degeneration, The Connection, Antics, Gender, Devastation, Growth. If I understand it myself, I paint aphorisms. But if not, I paint anyway.”
